The Man on the side of the Road, my short film that was produced in Scotland and shot in NZ and was voted a Best of the Fest Audience Favourite at the 2008 Palm Springs Short Fest. 

It played along side films by Jessica Biel and Kate Hudson

BAFTA and OSCAR Nominated Acting Talent attached to next Jigsaw feature

Jigsaw Productions are proud to annouce we have attached two top quality actors

for our up coming feature film, Ties that Bind. 

  

Bafta nominated Lennie James (Run, Line of Duty, Jericho) and Oscar nominated Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Secrets and Lies, Without a Trace, Spy Game) will star in Ties that Bind, a psychological thriller about a man who takes revenge on the killer of his son and hides away
in a remote Scottish island.

Happy Together - Rough cut nearly there

Jigsaw Productions are proud to annouce that our latest film Happy Together starring the wonderful Anne Downie, Nick Ikunda and Suzanne Adamson is nearing picture lock stage. This film is a touching drama written by Stephen Thompson and co-written and directed by Jigsaw's own Dale Corlett. Watch this space for the official trailer. Sorry for the lack of updates over the past year - been very busy with next feature film, lots of development work and pitching it.... it's now at a critical stage and hopefully we'll have some very big announcements in the next couple of months..... watch this space.

LEADING UK PRODUCER ATTACHED TO JIGSAW FEATURE

Jigsaw Productions are proud to announce that one of the UK's leading feature film producers Julia Valentine (Moon, This is England, Wild Target) is now officially attached to our next feature film, Ties that Bind. This film has been in development with Jigsaw for the past 3 years with writer Stephen Thompson and Director Dale Corlett collaborating closely on the development of the script. Julia's production company Cacti Films and Jigsaw Productions are now in a formal co production agreement and are currently taking the film to the market and funders for finance. Director Dale Corlett is very excited about this development with the project.

"Having a producer of Julia's calibre on board this film is amazing. With credits that include some of my favourite indie films like 'This is England' and 'Moon' not to mention David Mackenzie's 'Perfect Sense' staring Ewen Mcgregor and Matt Whitecross's 'Ashes' staring Ray Winstone, I know that we are in a very safe and creative pair of hands. Its also an honour and huge credit to our film that someone with such a proven track record of producing the highest quaility of work is

 as excited about our film as we are"

GMAC host QnA with Actor Billy Boyd

A couple of shots of a GMAC event earlier this year where Director Dale Corlett hosted a QnA with Lord of Rings Actor Billy Boyd. This event was part of the GMAC 1st Thursday programme, a free monthly event at Trongate 103 in Glasgow. In photos is Director Dale Corlett and Jigsaw Productions Producer Suzanne Adamson with Billy.

Director hosts live link conversation at international film festival

Director Dale Corlett hosted a live internet linked discussion between Spain, Brazil and the UK today as part of the Festival Internacioal Pequeno Cineasta in Brazil. This discussion focused on the challenges faced by young emerging filmmakers in making films in their respective countries while allowing the film makers to share their experiences. Following this event it was agreed that Dale will attend next years festival in Brazil as a guest to continue to develop an international cultural exchange between Scotland, Brazil and Spain.

JIGSAW DIRECTOR PROFILED IN SCOTTISH MAGAZINE

Jigsaw Productions have received a profile article in the hugely popular leither magazine this week. The article which focused on the Director Dale Corlett and his recent film Running in Traffic (which is now available to buy from HMV and LoveFilm.com) is now available across the East Coast of Scotland. With a print run and readership of over 10,000 this article which also profiled his up coming feature films The Boy called George and The Ties that Bind will help raise the awareness of Jigsaw Productions past and present work in Scotland and around the world.

Q&A with the Director of Running in Traffic

GMAC hosted an evening this week as part of the TRONGATE 103 1st THURSDAY Programme celebrating the DVD launch of this independent Scottish feature. Unfortunately DOP George Geddes was unable to attend at the last minute as his shoot on a commercial that day ran over, so it was left to Director Dale Corlett to hold the fort, talking to the large audience about how he and George went about creating the look and feel of this award winning film. Hosted by independent film producer Shian Holt, the evening involved a screening of a small selection of scenes from the film and a discussion around the overall cinematography and style. With such a large turnout for this free event, GMAC are hopeful this will translate into more DVD sales for a film the organization has helped support from its inception. Thanks to all who attended.  Watch this space for more events related to the release of this independent feature film.

This festival is a celebration of independent film, focusing on new and emerging film makers. This is a another example of the reach this honest, emotionally driven film has across the world. Jigsaw Productions are excited to announce our debut feature film, Running in Traffic, produced in association with Dabhand Films, is now available to pre order online.
